Description The Flying A Ranch rests 8,300 feet above sea level and is surrounded by the majestic Gros Ventre and Wind River Mountain Ranges. Built in the 1930’s the Flying A has great historical significance and character. The Ranch offers guests luxurious accomodations and delicious cuisine in a casual western atmosphere. Enjoy trout fishing on the Ranch or in the surrounding mountain streams and lakes. The beautiful high country can be explored on foot, mountain bikes or horseback. An abundance of wildlife can be viewed from your private porch or while relaxing in the hot tub. Directions: The Flying A Ranch is located 50 miles South of Jackson, Wy and 27 miles North of Pinedale. Guests can fly into the airports at Jackson Hole, Idaho Falls or Salt Lake City, which are all served by several airlines, including United, Delta, Continental and American. If you fly into Jackson Hole, we would be happy to arrange your transportation to the ranch, or you may choose to rent a car for the week and make the scenic hour and 15 minute drive yourself. Transportation to and from the ranch is available for $200 round trip per couple. Rental cars are available in Jackson. Amenities  We've carefully restored the six handcrafted log cabins and the main lodge. Cabins contain private baths and kitchenettes, and most have a fireplace or woodburning stove. The handmade furniture is of native pine, floors are oak and the walls are graced with tasteful artwork. Activities and Attractions Horseback Riding, Fishing, Relaxing Every day at the Flying A can be filled with exciting things to do - or completely relaxed, with nothing to do but enjoy the fresh mountain air, the view and each other. For riding enthusiasts, the Flying A offers a variety of trails with half day or full day rides arranged for your convenience throughout the week. Each guest has a horse of his or her own for the duration of their stay, and riders will discover a new perspective on the splendor of the mountains and the wildlife that abounds in the valley.
