Deer Haven is a 270 acre horse & llama ranch situated on one mile and a quarter of the Yellowstone River. Horses, llamas, donkeys, Shetland ponies and a miniature horse roam the pastures and visit the fishing floats lunching at our permanent picnic sites. Chickens supply farm-fresh eggs. Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Great Blue Herons, Pelicans and a variety of native and migrating birds soar over the property and fill the air with song. Red Fox, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer and other wildlife make their homes on, or visit, the ranch. Yellowstone National Park, with its fabulous thermal areas, is just 38 miles south. Fly fishing float trips, canoeing and river rafting, horseback riding, pack trips, cycling, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing are just some of the area's available activities. |
