Description
Helton Mill House is located on Helton Creek, a delayed-harvest trout stream in Ashe County, North Carolina. It is a renovated three story Mill House built in the 1890s on 9.5 acres with over 1000 feet of creek frontage. It's not only a fisherman's paradise, but a vacation dream home for the whole family.
Helton Creek Mill House is on one of the best trout streams in the North Carolina mountains. The house has been beautifully renovated incorporating much of the original materials. It is 3000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, a hugh fireplace and decks that overlook the magnificent creek.
The main level has a well equipped kitchen, a dining room, a bedroom and living room, with satelite TV and a DVD player and hugh rock fireplace. The second level has a sitting room and the master bedroom with king-size bed. Adjoining the bedroom is a master bath with a jacuzzi tub and shower. The third floor is 1000 square feet. It has four twin beds, satellite TV and a bath.
The shady decks overlook the roaring creek. There is a picnic table and lounge chairs so you can relax by the roaring creek in the serenity of mountain air.
The house boarders the North Carolina/Virginia state line. It is eight miles to Virginia. It is 14 miles from West Jefferson and 6 miles from Lansing.
It is 1 hour from Boone, 2 hours from Charlotte, 2 hours from Winston-Salem and 3 hours from Asheville.
Nearby attractions include: Grayson Highlands, Mount Jefferson, The Virginia Creeper Trail, Mt. Rogers, West Jefferson Cheese Factory, Shatley Springs, and Gaylax, VA. |
