The cabin is actually closer to the General Grant Giant Sequoia than some Park motels..it is off of well maintained roads , no dirty rutty roads which require 4 wheel drive to get to in summer ..

Also the "DEEPEST CANYON" in the Continental U.S.A. Even Deeper Than The Grand Canyon in Arizona. The park is open all year, 24 hours daily. The Park has many new uprades for 2006
There is more to see than you have time."Kings Canyon" will "Awe" you with its Towering Granite Walls and Dancing River. These Parks Elevation range is 1,300 to 14,494 feet. with an extrodinary range of Plants & Animals.During the summer the temperatures will range from the 50's to the high 80's. The current temps as of AUG/10/06 are 77 during day and 58-62 at night.

The cabin is off Highway 245, 45 minutes drive to Fresno or Visalia off Highway 180, and is Approximately 4-5 hours from Los Angeles or San Francisco off Highway 99.
