Enjoy a different kind of vacation spot, a place of quiet solitude to get away from the distractions of the world. Wild and remote, the last dude ranch at the end of a gravel road, Hawley Mountain offers the best in western hospitality and mountain wilderness experience.
Eagles Nest Lodge, perched on top of a 300 foot cliff, is a 20' by 50' room with circular fireplace intersecting the middle of the room. It is friendly gathering place for guests and staff alike, to kick back, enjoy the view, browse in the library, or visit with new friends. Four A-frame rooms over the lodge offer a queen bed, bunk bed, private bathroom with shower, table, refrigerator, and a balcony with a spectacular view. All three cabins offer one bedroom with queen bed, sleeping loft with two twin beds, private bathroom with a shower/tub, living room, couch, table, and a small refrigerator. In addition, Absaroka Cabin has a screened-in porch accessible by an interior ladder.
Three hearty meals are served daily in the lodge, buffet style. Always delicious, feast on wonderful home cooked cuisine. Two cookouts (weather permitting) are weekly highlights. Sometimes lunches are out of a saddle bag on a horseback riding day trip. Each day is different!
Fly fish the Boulder River where the ranch has private river frontage kept as ?catch and release? for over 30 years.
Other activities, such as hiking to scenic areas, a 4x4 trip to a ghost town and gold mines, a scenic boat float down the Yellowstone River, and evening cookouts and campfires round out a full week of wilderness experiences at Hawley Mountain.
