Description
|
The Boat House Cottage looks out over a tide pool to lobster boats moored on the opposite shore. The Loft, with its panoramic view of the working harbor from a private balcony, has a skylight living area, fireplace and television, a modern kitchen, full bath, and a skylight bedroom. The second-floor queen suite features a deck, living area with television, one or two bedrooms, modern kitchen, and one full and/or shower bath. The Boat House Cottage accommodates two to four guests in separate areas. |

Three cottages facing the water with decks, balconies or porches, full kitchens, televisions and one, two or three bedrooms. Fireplaces, queen beds, skylights, and personal sauna available. Cottage guests bring their own linen on a weekly basis. Also three rooms at the Inn, each with private bath, queen bed, in-room coffee and in-room refrigerator; two have fireplaces, TVs. One has a private entrance overlooking the harbor; and one has a kitchen. All accommodations are available on a housekeeping basis and maid service is not available. Activities and Attractions |

Touring Acadia National Park with miles of hiking and biking trails and shorefront for exploring, boating, and guided kayaking; fine dining; visiting museums; antiquing; bird watching; scuba diving; cross-country skiing; narrated nature cruises from Bass Harbor; and whale watches from Bar Harbor, about 1/2 hour (18 miles). Fresh-water swimming at Echo Lake's sandy beach, with lifeguards and bathrooms (8 miles). Brisk salt-water swimming at Back Beach in Bernard (1 mile). 3 miles from grocery shopping; 1/2 mile from the local convenience store; and 1/2 mile from the Post Office, seasonal restaurants, and gift shops in Bass Harbor Village. |
