Description
The Brick House Bungalows are located just one hour north of San Francisco in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country. Built in 1907 from crushed basalt stone from the local quarry, The Brick House was built to resemble an Italian stone farmhouse. Its four Bungalows were gradually added over the decades. With 1/3 acre of lush, private gardens, a large central courtyard for reading and relaxing by the stone fountain, and private patios for each unit, this secluded compound provides an ideal setting for a relaxing getaway.

Each of the five bungalows offers its own fully equipped kitchen/kitchenette and private bath. Guests enjoy such amenities as a romantic fireplace, private patio or garden, gourmet coffees and teas, fresh flowers, private phones, cable television, and a large library of books and magazines. Queen- and king-sized beds are covered with fluffy down comforters. Uniquely decorated with distressed leather couches, warmly weathered furniture, richly colored Kilm carpets and pillows, and luxurious bed and bath linens, the emphasis is on informality, comfort, and harmonizing with the natural beauty of the Sonoma Wine Country. Enjoy a continental breakfast left in your kitchen.
The Brick House Bungalows are located half a block from the Historic Sonoma Plaza and its multitude of fine restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, and wine tasting rooms. The Plaza, one of California's largest town plaza, is also the setting for many cultural events held throughout the year. Other area attractions include hiking and biking trails, an award-winning golf course, hot air ballooning, spas and mud baths, and of course the over forty wineries that call Sonoma Valley home!
Whether you are sipping wine by the fireplace or napping in the big hammock, The Brick House Bungalows offer a timeless country feel and a tranquil setting from which to enjoy the bounties of the Northern California Wine Country. |
