Description If you are looking for a private country getaway that is convenient to many touristic and cultural attractions, this is the vacation rental for you. River Myst Haven is located on a private 24-acre Healdsburg estate in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County in the heart of the California wine country. It is convenient to San Francisco, Napa, and Mendocino Counties, and the Pacific Ocean. River Myst is sited on a southwest-facing hillside just above the Russian River and affords panoramic views of the river valley, forest-covered hills, and stunning sunsets from a large deck and viewpoints around the property. The local climate is comparable to the French Provencal region with hot-dry summers and cool-moist winters. Lodging accommodations in this two-bedroom, two-bath house include a king-size bed in the upstairs luxury suite, two queen-size beds downstairs, and a pull-out sofa, sleeping eight comfortably. A large walk-in closet has been converted into an "office away from home" with phone and modern connections. The spacious 1,500-square-foot house is furnished in an eclectic antique style, has a large, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and is supplied with appliances, linens, towels, silverware, and china. The exterior features a hot tub and a large redwood deck for sun bathing, lounging, and outdoor dining. Activities and Attractions Town of Healdsburg has many fine and casual restaurants, shops and antique stores. Redwoods Forests, famous local wineries and microbreweries, water sports, bicycling, golf, hot air ballooning, winter fishing, famous health spas and mineral baths. Pacific Ocean 30-minute drive west. San Francisco is 70 miles to the south, and Napa is 40 to 50 minutes to the east. Pacific coast fishing all year long. (Tackle and fly fishing equipment is readily available at local sports shops.)
