Description The Olivet Grange Farmhouse is a charming vacation rental home in the heart of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley between Healdsburg and Santa Rosa, California. Built in 1918, this wine country getaway is ideally positioned for exploring the beautiful Sonoma Coast, Healdsburg, and the wineries and vineyards of the Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Sonoma Valley. Fine restaurants, spas, and excellent shopping are only minutes away as well. Lodging accommodations in the 1,340-square-foot farmhouse include three bedrooms, bath, living room, and fully equipped kitchen, sleeping up to six guests. The recently renovated and restored home sits on 10.45 acres of mature trees and Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vineyard. English antiques and fine art complement an interior design that emanates a simple elegance. Two of the bedrooms are located off the living room. One bedroom has a king-sized bed and east-facing windows which afford some very nice views of the sun rising over Pinot Gris vineyards. The other bedroom can be made up with a king-sized bed or twin beds, and a third bedroom includes one or two twin beds. A combination living room and dining area includes a beautiful fireplace, and the original 1920's kitchen comes with a large pantry and new tiling as well as a full-size range, microwave, dishwasher, china, glassware, cutlery, and cooking utensils. The farmhouse's other amenities include cable television, DVD player, VCR, stereo, telephone, fine Egyptian cotton linens, an outdoor eating area with barbecue, a two-car garage, and a washer and dryer. Better yet, the home's every window offers great views of the on-site vineyard and garden. The rental's biggest drawing card is its proximity to so many of California's famous vineyards; indeed, Olivet Grange is the estate vineyard for Inman Family Wines. But the Pacific Ocean (to the west), the charming town of Healdsburg, and the many shops of downtown Santa Rosa are just 10 minutes away. There are pentenque, horseshoes, and board games at the farmhouse, and if you're into rafting or canoeing, you'll want to check out the Russian River. There also are some excellent golf and tennis facilities nearby, as well as some great bike trails. A hike along Fife Creek in the Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve will literally put you in touch with Sonoma County's tallest trees, and a hot air balloon ride through California's wine country will put you just a click away from some great Kodak moments.
