Description
Surf Song cottage, at the north end of Westport, is a perfect escape for anyone looking to retreat from the world for a while. The crashing surf is just 50 feet or so below the house, and a 300-square-foot deck on the north side of the cottage is a great place for enjoying the breathtaking oceanfront views and the abundant bird population that glides along the coastline.
The open floor plan of the cottage invites relaxation. The oceanfront views from the kitchen and the queen bedroom are nothing short of awesome. A queen futon in the living room easily accommodate friends or family traveling with you. A couple of upholstered barstools in the kitchen, which includes a microwave, refrigerator, cookstove, sink, coffeemaker, and toaster, are just about the best place to have your morning coffee while the panoramic life of the sea unfolds before you.
As the day unfolds, enjoy all that Surf Song and the Mendocino coast have to offer. A short walk to the Westport store will provide everything essential you may need. Go for a walk on the beach, then relax in the spa on the deck as you soak in the magnificent view. Later, you can bask in front of the Franklin free-standing fireplace or stretch out in front of the television with VCR.
