Description Charming, cozy brick farmhouse rental, circa 1860, completely restored and modernized in 2003 to be a cabin rental. One of the earliest dwellings constructed in this area of Page County, Virginia by the Burner family, German immigrants that established a farm along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River in the late 1800's. The setting for this magnificent old house, cabin rental, known as "Burner's Bottom", is spectacular commanding views of the river, the little valley in which it resides, the Blue Ridge Mountains and Massanutten Mountain, all of which are visible from the property. This cabin rental is furnished with many of the original antique pieces which have been carefully restored. Efforts were made within the interior of the house to save and restore to original condition as much of the original structure as possible. Paint, fixtures, floors, woodwork, etc. are period style. This vacation rental is situated on 16 acres along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River at a location known as "Burner's Ford," with 1000 feet of direct river front access. Two large ponds have been constructed near the rental, both of which have picnic tables, and camp fire pits. There is a separate picnic area with fire pit located on the river front. This vacation rental has 3 bedrooms, one with a full size bed, the second with a king size bed and a Living Room that converts to a third private bedroom on the ground floor with a queen size bed. All bedrooms have fireplaces. There is a half bath downstairs, and a full bath with antique tub and shower upstairs. The kitchen has been completely modernized with all amenities, including refrigerator, microwave, range with oven, dishwasher, wine cooler, disposal, washer/dryer and is complete with dishes, pots, pans utensils, coffee maker, etc. There is an outside patio 22' x 22' located on the lower pond with an 8 foot Jacuzzi spa, gazebo, lawn furniture and a barbeque. The house has a full screened rear porch overlooking the lower pond, a Victorian front porch and a walk out second story morning porch.
